12. Put the iPod nano back together.
Replace the Screen in
a Second-Generation iPod Nano
To replace the screen in a second-generation iPod nano:
1. Open the iPod according to the instructions in Chapter 3.
2. With your iPod-opening tool or flat-headed screwdriver, carefully remove the screen
from the metal bracket (see Figure 5-49).
3. Unclip the screen from the logic board, and remove the screen from the iPod nano
(see Figure 5-50).
4. Plug the orange ribbon cable into the new screen.
5. Attach the new screen to the metal bracket.
6. Carefully slide the logic board back into the casing.
7. Reattach the audio jack to the logic board.
8. Replace the screw under the audio jack.
9. Place the metal bracket back into the bottom of the iPod nano.
10. Slide the audio jack back into place.
11. Replace the bottom and then the top screws.
12. Put the top and bottom plastic pieces back into place.
