If you get the low-battery icon while your iPod is plugged into the charger,
your charger might be bad and you should think about replacing it. You
should always go with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) charger
or one made specifically for the iPod by Apple. Brandon can??™t recommend the
aftermarket stuff; it??™s too unreliable, and it might
even fry your iPod??™s insides.
Interpret the Low-Battery
Warning Screen
The low-battery warning screen (see Figure 2-9) is
the new version of the low-battery icon. It displays
on all the newer iPods??”the ones with a color
display, that is??”when the iPod??™s charge is low.

When you see this warning screen, follow the same steps we outlined in

or plug it into a charger.
